WALT: To create an eye catching poster on google draw using persuasive language to worn audience. This term we have been reading, The world's worst teacher by David walliams.And I chose miss spick's because she was blaming people and it was really fun make the poster.

Five senses

This is my five senses that I did for chapter chat. This was a must do that I had to do before Friday that week.  We had to describe the desert in each of the senses. 

Vocabulary

This week for chapter chat we had to do vocabulary for a must do. Chapter chat is when you read a book for 7 weeks you have to read how many chapters it says. By Mackenzie

Prep

If you don't know what prep well I will tell you. Prep is like a little fake business to teach as what the real world is. In each group you have a CEO, treasurer, secretary, quality control and workers. CEO:Arliah treasurer:Zoe quality control:grace workers:Abbie Mackenzie Summer Secretary:Islay For prep this term for prep I am in a group called the The Lunar. This year we are making snow globes in the snow globbles we are put glitter and water then we are going to glue the tops on them so they don't leak.

Similarities and differences

On Friday it was the day of chapter chat so in the afternoon we watch the movie holes and we had to see what was different in the movie or what was different in the book and this is what I found out the movie miss heaps of stuff from the book.

Yellow Spotted Lizard

WALT: This week we did chapter chat and this is one of the activities, to do research on the yellow spotted lizard and this is all of my research that I got my most interesting fact is the they cannot be found at night. 

Power station hill

The last 4 weeks we have been learning about electricity, like the volts and how it works. So today Cosmin from Electronet come in and talk about electricity he showed us about the safety when he was done that he showed us how many volts are in a light bull. Then we had our snack before we leave, then we had to line up a under the bell then we were off up to power station hill it took half in hour when we got up there my legs when soo tried! 
Then Cosmin talk all about what the thing do. Then we had some food and had a drink and we where off to go back to school.

Persuasive writing 
WALT: write a persuasive piece to convince someone of a opinion 

This week we did persuasive writing to persuasive someone to get me something or do some thing else.

 Have you ever wanted to stand still and still move at the same time? I would like a hoverboard with Bluetooth to be able to achieve my goal. Do you want to feel like you are flying and listen to music at the same time? Well I do. That is why I want to have a hoverboard that is bluetooth and i want a hoverboard that has a handle as well and can i get one blue as well and i want lights on the side. My first reason is that Maddi got a phone when she asked for one and I think it is only fair to have something I want. My second reason is because they are really fun to be on and my legs won’t hurt. My third reason is when you don’t want to stand any more you can just sit down and still move. So that is why I want a hoverboard and I will learn a lot of tricks.  Well done Mackenzie i like how you said My first reason is that Maddi got a phone when she asked for one and I think it is only fair to have something I want and I also liked how you had lots of facts also you had lots of linking words and you introduction was good and it matched the conclusion maybe Next time you could make the sentences more interesting.

Chapter chat 

This term we had this thing called chapter chat and every week we have 10 new activities to do we have two must do's and the rest you can try how many you like all of them are different. 

The book that we are reading was fish in a tree and it is about a girl and her name is ally and she has  dyslexia she has two friends their names are Keisha and Elbert. There are these two girls that are mean to ally. Ally becomes popular at her school. I recommend this book for year 5 and up.   
 

Dyslexia experience

Tuesday this week we experience the life of dyslexia because for chapter chat we are reading fish in a tree it is about a girl and she has dyslexia and no one nose that she dyslexia even her mum and she dost wont on one to know so she acts dumb.
