The tail of Despereaux

This team we have been reading  the tail of Despereaux. Our teachers asked us to write what we think what will happened next.

This is the sentence she gave us:

The beating of the drum let them know that an important decision would be made one that affected the safety and well-being of the entire mouse community...

This is what I wrote:
You can hear the chicken drum sticks beating faster and faster on the drum kit.

You could hear desperado little heart beating faster and faster he knew something was going to happen, something bad.

He followed the sound that lead him to the mouse community and to his father and mother.

When despereaux went in the room they were all staring at him because he broke the mouse law.

He knew that he had to go down to the rats in the dark cold and wet Dungeon.

This is my drawing for reading I was asked to read a story then had to imagine the picture in my head then draw it. I read bits of the story then put it in to a picture. My favourite sentence was when she saw the seagulls swooping in to the shiny blue ocean.

this term we have been reading a book called The one and only Ivan. and this week we have made a I Ivans new domain I did it with Skylah, Shilah,Allie and tayla we made his domain better and bigger he's got a tyre swing a pool a slid 3 stories 2 TV a play area 

cheese making

Today we made plastic cheese 
you will needed: 

bowl
spoon
1 cup milk 
4 tsp vinegar  
strainer 

pour 1 cup of milk in a bowl then put the bowl in the microwave for 1 minute then  put 4 tsp of vinegar  in the bowl then stir until it is lumpy then you need to strain it then you squeeze it until all of the vinegar is out. you made plastic cheese.

Dear dairy

Today it was a boring day like usual everybody keep staring at me. So I painted bananas after that I watched funny cartoons on my old tv. I wonder if i am going to get another gorilla friend and i wonder when i am going  to be free. I feel bored, lonely and sad. It is so unfair i am missing home in the jungle . I wonder when i am going home.

ICE CREAM
Hi last term we made breakfast ice cream. Our  ice cream was called honey meal. The ingredients were honey, oats, cream, milk and sugar. I made it with Tayla.

At school in Mamaku hub we had a science fair about plants. In my group the people were me, Taylor and Charlotte we have made plants but... we are using water, Gatorade and Coke. the people in other classes like Pohutakawa, Rata and Totara came and looked at our science fair as well as parents. We discovered that water works better.
